The artwork De Hurdriiders, an initiative of Doarpsbelang Aldtsjerk, depicts two groups of skaters in the landscape.
The monument refers to the fact that Aldtsjerk is the last village before the finish of the Eleven Cities Tour, as well as to the renowned Aldtsjerk Skating Club.
The two groups of skaters are positioned on the mounds of the roundabout near the village of Aldtsjerk – a place where skating takes centre stage.
