Walking shoes on, backpack at the ready – it’s time to explore! At AquaZoo Leeuwarden, you’ll set off on an adventure and discover all kinds of fascinating animals. Walk along the beach with the penguins, wander right through the ring-tailed lemurs’ habitat and come face to face with the tigers!

Every day, there are several educational presentations where the keepers share fascinating facts about the animals. You’ll learn plenty of surprising things along the way, and of course, there’s also time to ask your own questions.

Throughout the park, you’ll find playgrounds and adventure trails. Cross the marsh on a raft, jump from stone to stone across the water or balance your way across a wooden pole bridge. The playground has a giant air trampoline, a nest swing and plenty of other fun play equipment. Each playground is located next to a café or restaurant with a terrace, so parents, grandparents and other accompanying adults can sit back and relax.

Whatever the weather, there’s always something to do at AquaZoo Leeuwarden, with plenty to discover both indoors and outdoors. Your adventure starts here!

AquaZoo Leeuwarden is open all year round, including the weekends and public holidays, except for January 1st.

Explanation of accessibility: AquaZoo has several facilities for the disabled. Disabled parking spaces are available in the parking lot. The park is very accessible for wheelchair users. You may encounter some gates that require assistance. Employees of the park are always willing to help you. Only the rowing boats are unfortunately not accessible by wheelchair. There are also disabled toilets (with braces) in the park. There are also wheelchairs in the park that you can borrow. It is advisable to reserve these in advance via info@aquazoo.nl.

Guide dogs and assistance dogs are admitted only if they are vaccinated. Walk-through enclosures, such as the kangaroos, ring-tailed lemurs and penguins, cannot be visited. Staff are always willing to help and indicate a modified route.

Dogs must be kept on a short leash at all times. Companions of assistance dogs may be asked to show their identification.
