Take a look

Just 5 kilometres from B&B De Hoffstee lie the sea dike of Northwest Friesland and the Wadden Sea, from where the islands can be seen on clear days. The towns of Franeker and Harlingen, together with picturesque villages such as Minnertsga, form a region where guests can enjoy a peaceful, rural environment.

B&B De Hoffstee is part of the former Reformed Church in Minnertsga. The architecturally renovated interior of the church is reflected in the design of the B&B. The accommodation is located in the space that once served as the theatre hall, adjacent to the former consistory. During the renovation, many original materials were reused from other parts of the church. The layout includes a spacious entrance hall, a compact kitchen, a generous bathroom and a large combined living and sleeping area. The bed measures 180 x 210 cm. Access to the accommodation is via a private cloister garden with its own entrance. The cloister garden may be used as a relaxation area, and parking is available on the property. We are happy to welcome you at the main entrance of the church and escort you to your accommodation. Breakfast is served in the church kitchen and, weather permitting, in the cloister garden.

Museums in the immediate vicinity such as the Eise Eisinga Planetarium (Franeker), the Fries Museum (Leeuwarden), the art project The Eleven Fountains, various walking and cycling routes, the Fishermen’s Days and the Tall Ships Races (Harlingen), and of course the spectacular Wadden Sea, are wonderful destinations and attractions for a relaxing holiday.
