Burgumer Mar/De Leien
The Burgumer Mar and De Leien are in the middle of the National Landscape of the Noardlike Fryske Wâlden (Northern Frisian Forests) and are linked by De Lits. Depending on the weather conditions (wind) and your experience (desired distance), you can opt to explore one or both lakes. All the shores have their charm, but you won’t regret the extra effort taken to reach the northern shores of De Leien! The traditional village Eastermar lies halfway along De Lits. Here you will find traditional buildings, retail, catering establishments and a beautiful marina with various amenities.

De Leijen Beach
Lovely water with a beach, a playground, a pavilion, and plenty of space for stand-up paddleboarding and swimming. Also, take the boat path and climb the birdwatching hut. There are various small islands in De Leijen, which is a great sight!
